Repost: Science and Art
Science and Art Posted on November 9, 2012 by reginaholt String theory and string cheese incidents bring about the bosom of the boson that is ferm as an ion in the midst of heat, rain or shine. Open or closed, open or closed. Which do we want? Can’t we just have both? Symmetry and order but a chaos that brings on the most brilliant of artistic creations that make up nature. Will it stay hidden in a black hole for another hundred years Or reveal itself out in the open? The fate of the universe or silly marketing? String.

Thursday Seeds: Animals that don’t talk
Should I be nervous? There is no time. There are no words, this female deer is headed toward me up the hill and onto the plateau that is my neighbor’s backyard at dusk. My cat, the only one at the time, was surprised too. I can tell by her stance as the deer walked right past her and toward me. It’s only afterward that there is a pause and the twitch of noses in greeting of one another, this dear deer and Tuna, my best friend and travel companion. No words. Her name is Agnes but only because someone else said so. She never announced a name with her presence.…

I do not know the whole Agatha. The whole Agatha, so I believe, is known only to God.

Shaky Knees Music Festival Edition #9
3 Days of incredible music! April 29. 30 and May1 2022 Yanno what? Trip notes are an important thing to do. Especially now. And while I have some of them, I’m looking at them wishing that I had spent a little bit more time. Let’s dive in. Day 1: Even if you have signed up for all three days of this festival #Shakykneesatl, you’ve been multiple years, and your kid isn’t even with you, it’s still a huge thrill to walk up the street toward the gate of entry. You can hear music already. You can see the stage to your left, there are people all decked out for the…

Opelika Songwriters Festival 2022
Hi Hi Hi! I’m going to this festival again this year. Alabama. I know, I know. ATL but this town is way cute and worth an explore. It’s right next to Auburn, AL. Here’s a playlist of the artists announced so far: I did them album upon album instead of each song. So click your random button and give a listen. I promise you will be looking back at this list wondering who that is. I’ve been doing it and remembering a few of these artists from last year. In a little bit I’ll post pictures from last year. You can see a little bit of what I mean about this…

Cosmos and Psyche partial book reading
This is not the only book that I’m reading at the moment. This one reads like a text book which I need time to gather myself for when I read it. It’s not a novel, though I must admit there are novel ideas within it that could change the world. And that is what leads me to place this bit of data on here. Archetypes are an interesting subject for any writer. The best characters that you know in book, movie, game, and dare I say song, have some of them within. If you are ever told that your characters are “flat” it’s because they don’t exhibit these…or enough of…

Projects in the works
Have you ever noticed that when you have projects in the works that other bits of good things show up that need to be gotten down too? This is where these two came from and since I’m not sure what or where they go yet, I thought I’d just place them out here and see what the spam bots think of them! Ha! If you read and lurk, I’m just making jokes. There was a spambot earlier that was complaining about getting a bunch of emails. From who? You? Stop your own insanity! You have the power! and this is a great segue into this first one. Purpose Purpose…

Periscope me baby! There is a new monster in town Monstera with no mascara The one-way mirror The importance of aim Cleaner or Saint but never the same Seam lame? Not to this grey haired mane Wild curls to be lasso’d back And perhaps harnessed It’s harder than before Old scripts don’t work anymore Forced emotions, toss ‘em Give me the wide open Your keys only work if there’s a lock It’s been picked Smashed in The door stands open You coming?

What’s going on? We need butterflies!
August 1, 2022. I can’t believe I made it this far… It’s been tenuous. Everyone’s purses are thinner this year. And now with another round of Covid cases, it’s hard to stay upbeat. So here we are. In another fight, and part of me is glad because the purpose of all this surfaces in the midst of it. With a purpose, I’m not longer asking what’s the point? Ok so Midtown Music Festival is cancelled. Why? Guns. Really? Where and what is going on? Seriously strange. We all need music to get us through. Our outlooks will slide without it. It’s worth the risk of Covid. Cuz what’s a…
