Some Evolution in the making around here…
I’m chewing on some amazing Ideas from these today! New changes abound! It all started with picking up a copy of the 10th anniversary of Stealing Like An Artist. Then Steven Pressfield’s book came out and I had to have the Show Your Work after that. I’m showing my work right here as a daily dispatch. I may not do this all the time, but I’m putting my Ass where my heart wants to be by getting this on here today!

Sleeping pills
It doesn’t matter. Just pop a pill. Go to sleep… “Benadryl or something under the counter will do” If you wondering why I’m screaming, this is why. I will not sleep my life away because it pleases you. Nope. These pills are the bane of our human existence. #NONONO MAG – Do be careful.

Steamboat Lounge’s Oyster Fest February 2022 – Midtown
There was a couple at our table that had all their tools and spices with them. Evidently in previous years, there wasn’t enough supply for all the crowds. We talked with folks that have been coming to this festival for many years just for the goods. Who knew? Not me, I don’t eat oysters. I’m here for the shrimp, the company, and the music! Jive revival was rocking it early. If I had been doing music, I think they could have gone for a longer set and further into the afternoon. However, I might be partial to this band in particular. Birthday Live Music
Two different nights at Eddie’s Attic. It was a lovely weekend of amazing artists and crowd interactions. This is my favorite venue. It’s so exciting to see it snap right back. The sound and the vibe is like medicine. We are going to be ok! The joy of discovering amazing artists and hearing their stories. We don’t need cover songs, we need your songs!

In between projects, I’ve been seeing a few shows… What a privilege to get out of the house and be with people. I’m still trying to navigate Mask rules. When you aren’t with a drink in your hand, wear the thing! But I shook hands and threatened to hug folks this week… Darlin’ Cory Songs at Colony Square September 7, 2021 Opening Night: Darlin’ Cory September 8, 2021 Alliance Theatre This production was absolutely spectacular! The songs are catchy. I sure hope that more of them will be released. These singers are amazing! The reverb in the theatre walls translates as one voice. The gorgeous beige swirling balcony art was…
