Thursday Seeds | Renewal
Spring is here in the South. The seeds are sprouting, the bumble bees are the first pollinators to arrive, and rains happen when they feel like it. Luckily, no massive storm clouds for this neck of the woods. These are the blessings that should be counted in the number of the seeds.
The data samples could be in those numbers too. Because not all will survive, seeds tend to be many so that some will find a good place to germinate, grow and bloom. Bloom where you are planted. <=The Seed idiom of the day. Incidentally, I promised a data that sample post this week. Stay tuned for next week. We’ll keep with the music theme then. These ideas sometimes need time to gel.
The prompts for writing in various places usually fall on deaf eyes for me. (I know, I know) This one arrived today:
“What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
There was a death in the family, it was sudden. And the mourning and introspection have my attention. That is what is inside me today. The memories to be cherished, the shock of so soon, and the “what if it could happen to me” thoughts rush in also.
None of us know when that day will be for us. If there is disease fighting, it might be known generally but even then, not completely. And so to say, cherish your people. Not just your blood family, though them too, but all your circles of folks that you encounter. You never know if it’s your last time with them. But also cherish the young ones for they will be the ones to carry on when we are all gone. And these topics are easier when we talk of the seasons of the year. Spring is of renewal. The new leaves arrive, flowers, shrubs get a new look. The weather is warmer and we get out in the sun more of which we need desperately.
