A Little Something for the Foodies!!

Dr. Flower is quite honored to be among the newest blogs approved for the Foodie Blog Roll  sponsored by the Left Over Queen.

One of the very first tag lines in the Dr. Flower handmade soap journey was, “You are what you eat and you are also what you put on your skin!”

If you are striving to be the most healthful you with a  smaller carbon footprint, you realize that EVERYTHING is connected. To be effective, we must look for solutions in a holistic manner.  Skin care, food, attitude, gardening…

I’m far from a trained chef (insert manic laugh here) BUT I have been influenced by many fantastic ones both celebrity (a LOT of Food network folk) and basic everyday GOOD southern cooking from my own family.  When my grandmother that helped raise me in the early years was about to move to an assisted living location, the first things she wanted were her Bible and her cookbook recipe box.  This is probably not all that uncommon for her generation. I as a young twenty something, took note.

With that said, I think I’ll step back from the sentimental side of it and repost a few snapshots of dishes we’ve made, enjoyed, and shared in the recent past. (I had to put Life Chef’s carrot curry soup in there! She made it, we watched! ;-))
