Delft Blue
Suddenly, delft blue made sense to me. There we were about to sit down to this delicious Chinese meal. Of course the Chinese boats had found these waters for trade, and vice versa. And the items traded were not always things, but a mix of cultures much like the mixing of colors or the beginning of a new pattern.
