Aromatherapy, not just hype

What is Aromatherapy? – Aromatherapy is the practice of using volatile plant oils, including essential oils, for psychological and physical well being.

It is the main reason why the majority of  Dr. Flower’s handmade soaps are made with herbs, infusions, and essential oils. There are many herbs that we think of for cooking that can also be helpful in that bathtub.  One could go as for as to say they can transform your bathroom into a Home Spa for a whole lot less money than to go find a spa.  In these times where being frugal is more necessary, I invite you to consider this in your holiday shopping.  Don’t forget to treat yourself! Dr. Flower 3packs of soap all come in individual “flower sacks” as well as a special cinch drawstring pouch that is perfect for gift giving whether it’s handmade soap, loofah or handmade candles that you are thinking of giving.

I came across a very good interview about Aromatherapy for women. It’s an interview with Kayla Fioravanti.  She is a vendor and formulator in our soap making industry. Her story of getting into this business is fascinating and can be found here.

Basically essential oils can heal and help you.  I had a water boil of essential oils on the stove in the kitchen when my daughter was diagnosed with pneumonia last year. It was a scary time because we did not even suspect she was that bad off. I could not believe the x-ray of her lungs when I saw it. But anyway, I digress. I wanted to share this interview that is quite timely with the upcoming season.
