Hoschton Scarecrow Record!

Well! Looks like the folks in my zipcode have done it! It’s not official but it will be soon that Hoschton has the Guiness Book of World records for the most scarecrows in one zipcode!

To celebrate, I thought it would be fun to make a scarecrow soap!  Now I’m a basics kind of soapmaker. I place herbs and essential oils in my regular ol’ wooden molds and then cut with a crinkle knife for the most part!

I’ve not spent a lot of time with Melt and pour type soap making.  I’ve made friends with some soapmakers that have it to an art form.  If you don’t believe me, try Soaplove here.  MeOW! Did you know a soap could be so cute?  Anyhoo… don’t visit soapylove’s page until you’ve seen these poor excuses for scarecrows!

They were handmade in Hoschton and that’s about all they have going for them! It’s pretty important for an artist to be able to laugh at herself so I thought I’d share! Back to the drawing board…
