The Last Day of School

The last day of school is a significant milestone this year at our house.   Our little “june bug” is about to be an upcoming 1st grader. A comment made to her just yesterday was that she will only have 12 more of those glorious last days in her school career.  Her reaction was funny. ” I have 12 more days of school left?”   Of course she doesn’t realize that she has 12 more grades to go through…  It’s an interesting way to look at the last day of school.

This summer there will be trips to the swimming pool, family trips, much playing in the yard with new and old puppies, and so much more! We’ll make soap, garden and read book after book about neat stories. Perhaps we’ll even write a few of our own.

So let’s say you are out of grade school…how many “last days of school” do you have left?

Me? MANY!  The last day of the HSMG 2009 soap conference might have been a “last day of school” for some folk.  The last day of bee keeping class might be another “last day of school” for others.

Suggestion:  Whether your learning is very structured or self taught, don’t forget to enjoy and celebrate the milestones!
