What's been going on at ASM (Alabama Soap Meeting)

Hey there!

A bunch and I mean a bigger bunch than last year of soap making friends are gathered in a little town outside Montgomery called Prattville. (You can find out more here.)  We are all sharing ideas, tips and tricks within our soap making industry.  It’s been a blast with many new friends being made as well as spending time with old ones.  Friendships that continued on twitter and facebook from past meetings are only strengthened with face to face interaction.

As you can imagine, the wheels are turning and notes are being taken! Here’s a few photos for your enjoyment…Good night!

Theda Gatlin’s Demo on Shower Gel

Darlene English’s Demo on Sugar Cube Soap Scrub – She grabbed  black food coloring for the demo thinking it was red! Many jokes were told with that one! She gracefully continued on!

After a shrimp and catfish dinner, back to Tammy’s room for Mud Diva Dubbing!  Mid Facial…the one I had strictly EO’s.  It made a Dr. Flower gal very happy!

Officially dubbed a Mud Diva just like my kid!

Kelly Bloom of Southern Soapers got dubbed too! Many of the gals from the meeting did! Trish even had her hair treated with mud! (sorry no picture for that here…but there will be some I’m betting. 😉

Fantastic Door prize I won. I was very excited to find that Anne Watson had even signed the copy!
